在第17世Gyalwa噶瑪巴神聖領導下的傳統噶舉派白教之西方佛教靈性學習中心
The meaning of life involves the whole of humanity in an ongoing spiritual evolution toward greater consciousness. Each individual can participate in this progress through an endeavor to attain Enlightenment. In our case it is the gentle Buddhist Path, treasured for centuries in the East—India, Tibet, Burma, China, Thailand, etc.—that teaches the way. This Path is a timeless and universal system of spiritual development guided by the practice of meditation. Relevant to anyone of any background, meditation cultivates a life of inner peace, happiness, love, compassion, wisdom and insight. Ours is a "meditation practice" orientated fellowship. We also believe that a fundamental aspect of the Path consists in working to make the world a better place for all sentient beings, through acts of charity and kindness. Under the direction of His Holiness the Karmapa, head of the Kagyu school of Buddhist practice, we are guided by the spiritual leadership of three exulted Lamas. These are the Venerable Bardok Chusang Rinpoche, the Venerable Karma Gyurme Rinpoche and the Venerable Kunpal Rinpoche. The official abbot of our Fellowship is the most Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. The Dharma Fellowship is the joint venture of all its members and our website reflects this. May this site be of some good in the general distribution of spiritual wisdom and knowledge throughout the world. Meditation PracticeMeditation in British Columbia Monday and Wednesday evening meditation is held each week at 7:30pm at the Hermitage on Denman Island, British Columbia, Canada under the guidance of Lama Rodney. The Hermitage also holds five day, seven day and ten day silent retreats, open to all who are interested in learning and practicing meditation. Each retreat is supported by daily instruction and private interviews with the Lama. Please see the Hermitage retreat schedule for details. The Hermitage
